Arsenal Ready to Activate £67m Release Clause for Benjamin Šeško, RB Leipzig Want Bigger Fee

ASNews.web.id – Premier League club Arsenal are reportedly getting serious in their pursuit of RB Leipzig's young striker, Benjamin Šeško. Although the German club wants a higher transfer fee, the Gunners are determined to activate the latest £67 million release clause listed in the 21-year-old's contract.

Negotiations between the two clubs are currently ongoing. RB Leipzig are believed to be trying to convince Arsenal to increase their offer above the release clause, given Šeško's impressive performances during the 2024/25 season. However, Arsenal appear to want to complete the transfer within the terms of the existing clause, in order to avoid competition from other big clubs who are also eyeing the player.

Benjamin Šeško, who has scored a number of crucial goals for Leipzig in the Bundesliga and European competition, is seen as one of the most promising talents in Europe. Arsenal see the player as a key part of their long-term project, especially to strengthen a forward line that is still considered in need of additional depth and quality.

If the deal goes through, Šeško's transfer would be one of Arsenal's biggest strategic moves in the summer transfer market.
